Sponsorship represents a significant turning point for NZLRF. Until now we’ve been almost entirely Facebook-based and unfunded except from the pockets of our admins for minor expenses like business cards, but it’s time for us to grow out of the Social Media space. Moving to our new website represents a significant challenge. While Facebook provides a convenient free medium for community promotion, running a website costs money and requires overhead.
To meet this challenge we have created our website with the user experience in mind, expanded the admin team, and made it easy for users to access NZLRF without ever having to use Facebook. Recognising the value of our community-organised and run trips and events, we have made these central to our activities by having Love My New Zealand on board as a sponsor to support the new website and enable us to provide services “above and beyond” social media.
Love My New Zealand was the brain blob of Sharon Stewart. She came to Auckland to settle eight years ago from England along with her three young children. Within a short time, she started her own high end, money can’t buy experiential company mainly focussed on delivering amazing experiences throughout Auckland and greater New Zealand to international visitors, high end corporate teams and of course the discerning residents of our country now and again.
Sharon told me why she chose Land Rovers and Range Rovers as her vehicle of choice.
“I would love to tell you it was after many hours of researching all models before deciding on the mighty Land Rover, but it wasn’t. It was just pure passion that after growing up in the mining villages of North East England and never having a brass penny to rub against another, I was on a school trip to Hyde Park and the Queen drove past me in her Range Rover. It was that moment that I fell for the brand, but it took forty years to get one.”
Fast track a few years here and Love My New Zealand are respected as one of the most luxurious experience curators in New Zealand. Qualmarked at GOLD as well as most innovative tour company of 2018 through Oceania, Sharon says it is the detail that matters.
A member of the Land Rover Owners Club of Auckland as well as the New Zealand Land Rover Forums, Sharon has become quite the off road adventurer.
“I have learned many things from getting out there in mud, sand and rock as well as the many friends we have made. I love my sons being able to learn to off road first before they even get onto a main road behind a wheel so it is a great way to breathe our air, socialise and become safer drivers.”
Sharon is known for designing up for those of us who already live here, little special moments and getaways. She does this to keep her hand in the game now she has a much bigger team so she from time to time likes to take a challenge from the hubby and make the surprise element one that earns him brownie points for life.
