NZLRF Whanganui Wander 2019

Eventful Day 1 with most of the group coming from the Southern route via SH1, meeting up at Pukerua Bay. The day started with an accident, a repair, and a convoy to Whanganui picking up others along the way and driving the back roads from nearby Turakina. Many thanks to @davidgsi David Coxon for leading the trip.

Day 2 started with a breakdown (sorry to hear that @kiwirex William Middleton!) and a great day had by all. Sorry I wasn’t able to attend.

  1. Looks like a great second day, I’m sorry the ol’ girl wimped out. I suppose I should have known seeing how I was saying on Saturday how trouble free she had been up to now!!!!!!!!!! Turns out it was a crank position sensor. Looking on the internet it seems to be a common fail on the Rover v8. Thank my lucky stars we were still in civilization, not stuck in the bottom of some watercourse miles from anywhere.

    1. I have, countless times, driven through the bottom of some watercourse somewhere miles from civilisation in my P38 without a spare CPS. I should probably get one 😉 You’ve just reminded me!
